Curatorial Statement
on arrival we noticed a few things erntvquite right , Place was dirty , sweets between the chairs , shower not been cleaned ,blood on pillow ,went for a shower only to find when I finished my feet were dirtier that before I had the shower. the swimming pool was ok, a bit small. too many splashy things. paid activities were expensive for what they were. Pottery painting was £10 and was sticking foam balls into a small ornament for 35 mins. kids really enjoyed the arcades, we went every day. Entertainment at night on Tues, Wed and Thur was 2 girls singing but was really basic, blank stage with disco lights. please can management do something about the pitch black pavements at night! its so dangerous! a highlight was the beach, nothing to do with the campsite, just throwing it out there!

Carly Mandel, Crystal Beaded Medical Bracelet, 2024. Glass, aluminum, steel, plastic, 6 × 38 × 38 in. (A sculpture installed on the floor of an oversized “bracelet” with glass vases in different tones (white, blue, brown and light green) strung like beads on a black cord and steel hooks at each end of the cord that resemble clasps, although they are not attached to one another.)
Rose Dickson, Wedding, 2024. Bronze, 32 × 16 × 3 in. (A sculpture made of spiky, twisted and gnarled interlocking metal components that form two circles.)
Meredith Sellers, Burnt Out, 2023. Oil and latex paint on panel, 18 × 6.5 in. (A painting on a thin vertical canvas; the painting is mostly kelly green, with an image of a lightbulb at the bottom against a beige background, almost like a photograph collaged into the painting.)
Vivek Sebastian, As Above So Below 2, 2023. Charcoal on paper, 11 × 15 in. (A charcoal drawing of a naked person stretching their left arm above their head, seen from behind, with letters formed via negative space outlined in charcoal that read “As Above” and “So Below” across the top and bottom of the image, respectively.)
Jessica M Gaddis, Flower Blocks, 2024. Oil and graphite on canvas, 32 × 18 in. (An abstract painting on a vertical canvas of warmer pink, red and orange lines and shapes at varying opacities against a cooler-toned greyish blue background.)
Sophie Grant, Hat, 2024. Acrylic and wax crayon on canvas, 19 × 20 in. (A warm-toned abstract painting in hazy orange, yellow and pink, with faint green detailing atop.)
Gary Katiya, Bathers, 2021. Oil on canvas, 18 × 24 in. (A painting of three naked people leaning back on their arms on grass looking out across the water at several mountains. The painting is done in thick, heavy brushstrokes so that the people’s shapes can barely be made out. The colors are muted, dark indigo and green.)
Emiri Fujimoto, The impression was mutual, 2023. Stamp ink pad, inkjet print on paper, paper mache, cement, linocut rubber, armature wire, metal mesh and thread, dimensions variable. (A photograph taken from below of a sculpture hanging off of the edge of a railing. The top of the sculpture is wedged between the rails, while a pink tail with bows attached hangs off of the edge of the building, extended towards and out of the bottom of the frame.)
Cecilia Caldiera, Cat Math for Moon Dogs, 2024. Artist frame, ink, graphite, steel, glass, wood, stone, plastic, 5 × 8 1/2 × 1 1/2 in. (An assemblage artwork in a black frame. The work consists of a drawing of two almond shapes that resemble eyes; beads on wire surround the drawing along with a scrap of bright blue plastic.)
Noémie Jennifer Bonnet, premonition thrower, 2023. Drift-bone fragments, European water chestnut seed pod, compost, epoxy resin, acrylic, 4 1/2 × 6 1/2 × 5 in. (A small abstract sculpture of a white organic form supported by twig-like obtrusions.)
Ketty Haolin Zhang, Night is Purer Than Day, 2023. Oil on canvas, 16 × 20 in. (A painting of the bottom of a person’s legs standing on stage in front of a sound board as well as a string of twinkle lights and several electrical cords. The lights reflecting off the stage floor are purple, green, gray and yellow.)
Daniel Licht, Rider, 2024. Oil and wax on panel, 8 1/2 × 5 1/2 in. (A heavily textured painting of a person on horseback; both the person and the horse are rendered in a light green/gray color, while the background of the painting is a green so dark it is almost black.)
