Exhibition Description

Exhibition description excerpt from Brentano, R., & Savitt, M. (1981). 112 Workshop, 112 Greene Street: History, artists & artworks. New York: New York University Press:

STEFAN EINS presented a one-wheel pulley piece.

DIETER FROESE constructed a sculpture by laying two-by-fours directlyon the floor and putting clay around the edges. He then pulled up the two-by-fours, which resulted in positive and negative versions of the piece. It was shaped something like “AA”.

JENE HIGHSTEIN exhibited Human Scale Container, an 8x8x11′ plate glass and plywood structure.

HISACHIKA TAKEHASHI exhibited a feather mobile shaped like a turtle, and potted tulips with heavy lead fishing weights suspended above them, among other things.

[No information is available for Randal Arabie, Jared Bark, Peter Barton, J. Jaroslav and Gordon Matta-Clark.]
