Zadik Zadikian
Spring 1973 112 Greene Street/WorkshopExhibition Description
Zadikian painted the entire space and all its fixtures yellow. Shortly after the artist’s loft burned down, he became interested in the transformation of a total space. This was his first piece in New York City which involved a whole room. By keeping the front door and rear windows open to create a breeze, he added to the Spring atmosphere evoked by the pale yellow color choice.
