White Room: William Scott
February 3–March 13, 2006 320 West 13th StreetExhibition Description
Bay Area-based artist William Scott has developed a visionary urban planning project for his home neighborhood of Hunter’s Point. Through drawings and architectural models, Scott re-imagines this socially marginalized neighborhood as a potential urban utopia. William Scott works with Oakland’s Creative Growth, an art studio program for adult artists with developmental disabilities. This is White Columns’ second collaboration with Creative Growth, after our acclaimed 2005 exhibition of work by Aurie Ramirez.
