This is the second installment of the ongoing “Update” exhibition series, reinstated in 2008. Originally informed and inspired by White Columns’ annual “Update” exhibition series which ran for many years beginning in the mid 1980s, “Update #2” brings together new works by artists who have received significant support and early exposure at the gallery. (For many it was their first individual exhibition in New York.)Violette Alby had an exhibition in the ‘Lobby’ at White Columns in September/October 2008.Steven Baldi had a solo ‘White Room’ exhibition at White Columns in March/April 2009.Mark Barrow had a solo ‘White Room’ exhibition at White Columns in September/October 2008.Josh Brand had a solo ‘Project Room’ exhibition at White Columns in September/October 2007.Patricia Esquivias had a solo ‘White Room’ exhibition at White Columns in January/February 2008.Judy Linn had a solo ‘White Room’ exhibition at White Columns in September/October 2005.Marlo Pascual was included in a three-person show at White Columns in January/February 2008.Noam Rappaport had a solo exhibition in the main gallery at White Columns in June/July 2010.Josh Shaddock had a presentation in ‘The Bulletin Board’ in June/July 2005 and was included in‘Open Walls #2’ in September/October 2006.Alexandre Singh was included in ‘Open Walls’ in October-December 2005, had a solo ‘White Room’ exhibition in September/October 2008, and contributed a performance for ‘PERFORMA09’ at White Columns.Jennifer West had a solo ‘White Room’ exhibition at White Columns in September/October 2007.
