Gordon Matta-Clark

Performance

Gordon Matta-Clark is reported to have created a piece in the basement in which performers lay concealed under piles of dried leaves or bushes for a very long period of time. Then they began to move very slowly so that parts of their bodies became exposed. Suddenly they burst forth and ran from the basement.
