White Room: Thomas Brouillette

October 29–December 5, 2004 320 West 13th Street

Exhibition Description

Through a process of representation and abstraction, illumination and obfuscation, Thomas Brouillette explores the shifting perceptions of the everyday and the iconic. His paintings of varying scale depict places and objects that he has obscured, either with low light levels or by painting over the forms with an indeterminate black mass.
