Exhibition Description

Ted Victoria created this installation specifically for the 112 space. Six translucent panels were hung across the width of the semi-darkened room, and six light projectors were placed at the rear of the space, facing the panels. By projecting light through a tank, containing a certain arrangement of oil and water, the artist created an image on the panels, subtly modulated by the heat of the projectors and the vibrations in the space. For four hours on October 23, the artist, in collaboration with Ernest Whitworth, presented a “projected performance.”
