Exhibition Description
The artist placed black plastic over the windows to darken the workshop. White tables, each with a reading lamp, were set up allowing the viewer to examine texts and artifacts. The material dealt with love affairs, aging, relatives, memory, as well as a story about a girl who died after her attempts at witchcraft met with failure. Audio tapes and slide projections were also used. Pieces included: The Marriage of Jeannie Diaz, Exorcism, Touching My Face, My Grandmother’s Gestures, Visiting Hours, and Intruders (Memory Figures).
