White Columns is pleased to present the first New York solo exhibition by the Los Angeles-based artist Marina Pinsky (b. 1986, Moscow.) Operating in the spaces between photography and sculpture Pinsky’s exhibition will consist of a series of new photographic works and sculpture that take imagery of clocks, safes and time-lock mechanisms as their departure point. Pinsky graduated with an MFA from UCLA in 2012, and a BFA from the Museum of Fine Arts School, Boston in 2008. She recently had a two-person show at Clearing, Brussels, and her work was included in the group shows ‘Made In Space’ (Night Gallery, Los Angeles; and Gavin Brown’s enterprise and Venus Over Manhattan, New York), and ‘Bulletin Boards’ (curated by Matthew Higgs) at Venus Over Manhattan, New York.
