The sixth installation for White Columns’ project space The Bulletin Board – a 6’ x 4’ glazed aluminum bulletin board installed in our entrance lobby – is by the New York-based artist Douglas Blau, whose work was also included in the 1997 Whitney Biennial.
Douglas Blau was born in Los Angeles, and raised in New York City, where he lives and works today. Blau’s previous exhibitions have included: “Stills” (1994); “The World of Tomorrow” (1994); “The Conversation Piece” (1993); “The Naturalist Gathers” (1992); “The Library” (1991); “The Times, The Chronicle & The Observer” (1990); “The Observatory” (1989); and “Fictions” (1987).
