Exhibition Description
Enormous sheets of white paper were crumpled up and then somewhat flattened out and stacked to a depth of about two feet, filling the entire left-hand side of the 112 space. Similarly, wrinkled paper was mounted on the adjacent walls. The floor of the right-hand side was filled with blank artists’ sketchbooks, opened and placed in rows; the individual pages were crumpled, giving the whole the appearance of rolling arcs. The installation was an extension of the artist’s previous Drawing Works and Books of Continuity.
