Billy Apple and Jerry Vis

Billy Apple’s intention has been to remove 38 metal plates which covered holes in the workshop floor. Jerry Vis would then restore the underlying damage. After a dace performance which compromised the work by displacing materials, the artists stopped work on the piece. Fie plates has been uncovered and four and one-half sections of the floor were restored at that time. the artists’ statement on the door of the gallery and on one of the columns explained their decision not to continue after the disruption.
