A Group Show: 13 x 33
May 28–June 16, 1977 112 Greene Street/WorkshopExhibition Description
Using black cord, Jean Dupuy divided the space into 13 parallel corridors forming a simple labyrinth. Each artist presented two works, each one located in at the beginning and end of a 33′ corridor (the width of the gallery). The experience was spatial, sequential, and cumulative, and the works were presented in forward and reverse as the viewer moved through the labyrinth.
