Exhibition Description

Each of the five choreographers performed their own works during this evening. Although unplanned, “each of the solos started out very minimally, and very slowly, gradually developing the opening material before either adding new material to make the dances more complex or exhausting the possibilities within the developmental approach.”

CARTER FRANK performed Baudelaire’s Mother.

CHARLES DENNIS performed Untitled.

SHERYL SUTTON performed Untitled, with music by Steve Lacy.

BEVERLY OWEN performed Hole.

DANA REITZ performed Duet for Solo.

The dance series was presented in association with the First Soho Loft Dance Festival at Bill Dunas’ studio (the Ambrose Arts Foundation).
