The White Columns Archive spans fifty years of archival holdings from White Columns. The initial contents of the Archive In Progress will continue to be augmented with current materials as well as further historical materials, in the hope of being a comprehensive reflection of our actual physical history.

Gallery view at an angle. Nearest to the viewer is a freestanding wall on which hang five small, detailed and colorful framed works. The largest work, hung in the center, is a circular painting matted in a square frame. It is flanked on both sides by two paintings hung one above the other. Twelve more works can be seen on the far walls.

Early Work
A view of three walls in a gallery. Stretching across all three walls is a series of photographs, hung in clusters at varying heights and distances from one another, with printed text components arranged alongside the images. A long line of small cyanotype prints connects the “clusters” of images. On the far left wall is a larger color photograph of a college graduation. Installed on the floor in the middle of the room is a sculpture of a yoga mat printed with negative images of a person; atop this yoga mat is the outline of a person’s body made in steel, doing a push up on the yoga mat.
