Next Saturday at White Columns!
Ceramics Club presents:
A6 Chameleon
A reading hosted by Samuel Lang Budin

Saturday, November 22
4-6pm
White Columns and Ceramics Club are pleased to present a
poetry reading organized by Samuel Lang Budin with
Catherine Fatima, Malvika Jolly, Clara Joy, and Casper Lee.

Catherine Fatima is a writer from Montreal whose work investigates capital, desire, misery and the manner in which each is threaded into the other. Though her primary genre is fiction, she works closely with and verging alongside performance, poetry, and most recently, textiles.

Malvika Jolly is the winner of the 2025 Alice James Award for her forthcoming debut poetry collection, Visiting Hours of the World (March 2027). She is a graduate student at NYU where she teaches in the undergraduate writing program. She runs the poetry reading series The New Third World.

Clara Joy is a New York City-based performing artist, whose work connects a DIY ethos with poetic introspection. Her debut album, What We Have Now, was released via the independent label Shimmy‑Disc in 2025 and signals the arrival of a distinctive voice in contemporary indie music.

Casper Lee is a poet from Wyoming and the author of No Ranch, forthcoming from Spiral Editions. Their work has been featured in publications by Luigi Ten Co., 1080 Press, Print Journal, Hot Pink Mag, and others. They take care of too many animals in Ledger, Montana.

This event is presented by Ceramics Club on the occasion of the exhibition CC 2052, a fundraising exhibition on view at White Columns through December 20. During the show over 500 ceramics will be available for sale, alongside a new limited-edition T-shirt. All proceeds from sales will be donated by Ceramics Club to the non-profit organizations New York Cares, Make the Road, City Harvest, Project Eats, Food Bank for NYC, Brooklyn Rescue Mission Urban Harvest Center, Ali Forney Center, Covenant House, The Door, Greenwich House Pottery, and NYPL.

Like Ceramics Club’s previous presentations at White Columns in 2015 and 2022, all artworks are presented and sold anonymously, and the exhibition will empty as the ceramics are purchased and removed.*

This exhibition is organized by Trisha Baga, Jared Buckhiester, Molly Dektar, Marley Freeman, Dmitri Hertz, Megan Mi-Ai Lee, Pam Lins, and Halsey Rodman. For more information please contact violet@whitecolumns.org.

(*Due to the volume of artworks available, sales will only be made in-person at the gallery and all sales are final.)
